A New World

by Shinae   Oct 1, 2006

The light falls across his face,
in a new world,
Where is this place?

In his arms I'm held so tight,
nothing has ever;
Felt this right.

This morning I woke up held by my lover,
I am now his;
Belong to no other.

Perfection sleeping, he closes his eyes.
I'm searching for flaws,
but need no disguise.

I wonder if he sees me,
while he's reflected perfectly

In my mirrors, the windows to my soul.
He's got me now, he's swallowed me whole.

Our fingers entwine,
I can't believe this is mine.

I'm holding on tightly, I'll never let go.
Breathing is heavy,
he's taking it slow.

And now I am with him,
I can't ever leave.
Because when without him,
I can't ever breathe.
