Running

by Shinae   Oct 1, 2006

Through a blanket of smiles,
we pretend that it's fine.
And can't help from running
back every time.

Just one more conversation,
and once again complete.
I don't want to come running back,
but I cant control my feet.

Running around in circles,
our heads start to spin.
We know this feeling from before,
it's about to begin.

It's been longer than before,
but that doesn't change the feeling.
I'm slowly getting dizzy,
and my head has started reeling.

Memories come flooding back,
of a perfect "once upon a time".
Back in the days when I was yours,
and you were also mine.

So if I seem to change my mind,
and start to push away.
You know I've got the feeling,
but it won't be here to stay.

I like your line that you can't control your feet. That was an original thought. a good piece of work. Jpoet*
