Forgiven

There are things I have done
I am not proud of

There are things I have said
I wish I hadn’t

There are things I could have stopped
I wish I could apologize

There is One
Who does this for me

He came here
Expecting acceptance

What he got
Was quite the opposite

The very people he died to save
Are the ones who condemned Him

There are things I seek absolution for
He does this for me

I may stumble of the path
But He’s always there to guide me back to it

John 11:35
Jesus wept

He bring tears to my eyes
But for other reasons

Although there are things I have done
Things I have said
Things I could have said
Things I could have stopped
That I regret

The Bible says I will be Forgiven as long as Christ is in my heart
I have Him
I am Forgiven
