Dead Love

by Kadee   Oct 3, 2006

Sitting here looking past the deep anger and all the broken glass, I see a crack in the shutters still the light shinning through, reconnecting me to the life I once new.

Standing up over taking my ground. Taking my steps, down the hall where I cautiously fall, turning left down the stairs .remembering I actually have friends that care.

So I say goodbye and walk away not looking back or Ill be tempted to stay. Another passionate kiss before I leave .Dry my eyes as tears conceive.

Say goodbye and walk away tell him Im leaving this very day. Embrace him tenderly and soothe his pain. Remember his words were all filled in vain.

Step out into the bright light and there will be no more reason to put up a fight.
I get to the edge of the grass take one deep breath and keep on walking right on past

Past all the memories you yelling persistent voice, your raging fist that would put me in my place. I wont miss hiding my face, lying to the world. I wont miss your love, I wont miss your touch.

So say goodbye and walk away Ive exhausted all words with no more to say. Slowly turn and dont look back, before I no it ill be back on track.

Say goodbye and walk away dont look back or Ill be tempted to stay .Ill find love someday youll see .A new chapter unfolds and I hold the key
