Decieving

by Bubbles   Oct 5, 2006

I gave you my world,
You saw the core of this girl,
I showed you my soul,
I looked for everything i needed in you-praying that you could finally make me feel whole,
I poured out my heart, my secrets and dreams,
Only to have you shove them back at me?!
You have this charm, some sort of a hold,
No matter how I try I can't walk away from all the lies that you told,
I go on believing,
You go on deceiving,
Because I wish it was the truth and you love that I love you...
All of the things that i used to be,
All of the things the once defined me,
All of those things no longer exist,
You threw that away when you told me this:

I'll never leave, I've changed so much... I love you girl, can't you see? Just give me a chance, please believe me!

You finished this speech and i saw those eyes,
I never thought such innocent brown could tell such lies,
I fell for the trap,
Your opportunity fell into your lap,
You dulled my shine,
And moved on to a girl with a gleam in her eye,
A chip on her shoulder and a shine far more brilliant than mine
