Trust

by Eunice   Oct 8, 2006

Hidden in the most secured vault in the world,
Were your deepest secrets you held so tight,
You knew it all by heart, and locked it with a key
You never even thought of sharing it with me.

Everytime I asked, you shushed me away,
I never got the chance to have my say,
I lied to myself, saying that it will be alright
As long as you are here by my side.

Time passed, and I realized,
It was the hand of a stranger I held all this time
I searched for answers in your once readable eyes
But could find no connection to this heart of mine.

I had no choice but to end it here
what bond is this that we tie, without any trust?
I couldnâ??t cry, not a single tear
Because I knew I loved a man with a mask.
