A Silent Sedition

by Shane   Oct 9, 2006

I've tried to change
A smile painted on the mask I wear
A flower concealed and a sword at hand
You thought I was a different man

With time, my mask will corrode
Jaded by the will to stand
Or fall for you twice, my dear
A wish with every tear

Darling, pave my way
This bondage brings me near
The curve of your lips mirror my desire
Consume me, feed my fire

I'm disposed to wait, or decay
A walking corpse could admire
My incredible personification
Of a man ruled by hesitation

It's all a charade, a broken promise
I'm governed by determination
Circumstances force my treason
There's never been a colder season

I live without your love, without my reason
