A Higher Level

by amanda   Oct 10, 2006

Driftin' away like a feather in air.
letting my poems take me away from the hurt and despair.
spreading gossip, that's not what's up.
making it worse, as if it ain't complicated enough.

say what you must, but it has no effect.
cause, i've reached a higher level of respect.
to let you do, what you do.
makes me a better person, instead getting low like you.

ride in a elevator, try to reach something that is greater.
but, realize that you can't do it if you're continuously being a hater.
but, i'll keep my head up not letting you make me frown.
cause, i'll be at the top of my game while you're stuck on the ground.
