Abused Angel

by Karley   Oct 11, 2006

The evil ones abused an Angel,
They tore out her heart and scarred her soul,
This is her story that I tell,
About that sweet Angel:

It is so sad; her halo's bent,
They've broken both her wings,
Her skin has lost it's golden shine,
Her voice raspy now when she sings,

The twinkle in her eyes is gone,
Her smile is now a frown,
Her tears they fall just like rain,
As she walks with her head down,

She stops and looks up at the sky,
At stars so far away,
Then proceeds to bow her head,
And begins to pray:

"Oh dear Lord, hear my cry,
Look at me and see,
Have I done something wrong,
For them to destroy me?

Did you put me on the earth,
To be used in such a way?
To be hurt for no reason,
Each and every day,

I used to try to hold them back
I did with all my might,
But now I have just given up,
I don't even try to fight,

I'm to weak to go on Lord,
What am I to do?
I can't stand this hurt and pain,
And torment I go through,

I beg you, Lord, to hear my prayer,
This prayer I've prayed before,
Just answer me this one question,
Why do they hurt me for?"

Then she finishes her prayer,
And says a quick "Amen"
Then the tears begin to fall,
As she cries again,

It seems her prayers are never heard,
That's why she's so confused,
Oh God, why don't you answer her?
This Angel so abused.
