In Rememberance of Robert Crawford

by kathy   Oct 11, 2006

Something keeps me up at night
The memories of you
And all the talks we used to have
About what I would do
With my life and my goals
The dreams I had created
But now that you're no longer here
I feel I'm oeverrated.
I need your guidance and your help
To make sure i suceed.
Things are getting so difficult
Don't know the life I'll lead.
So many people miss you now
That you have passed away.
We think of you often enough
In our hearts, stronger each day.
I miss the encouragement from you
That I could do my all
But now that you have left this earth
I know that I may fall.
But I'll be strong just for you
You've shown me what it's like
To live a life to the fullest
You never gave up your fight
You faught in battles and in wars
Yet you made it through the storm
So i know that if you can i can too
And with that, it'll keep me warm.
We miss you more than words can say
And no matter what we may do
You'll always be in our hearts and minds
All of the memories we shared with you

This is so great. I can totally relate. Poems seem to be a very personal way to deal with loss... although this place is somewhat annonymous its great to hear feedback, and hear words of others who are going through the same thing. Keep it up!
