Spectral Maiden

by Stephen   Oct 11, 2006

A spectral maiden haunts my dreams,
Though her name is not known,
She comes to me in my thoughts,
Without her I am alone.

Though her face cannot be seen,
And she never speaks a word,
I feel a love for this maiden,
A love that seems absurd.

How can I love a mere thought or dream,
This maiden who stole my heart,
For when her face cleared,
I saw it was you,
Who haunted me from the start.
