When you are pregnant
You dream of how your child will be
When you give birth you feel
Such overwhelming love
For that small child that you have
Been blessed with
As they grow you teach them
How to walk talk and eat
You teach them things they need to
Know as they grow and start out in
The big world
You cry when they go to their
First day of school
You praise them as they learn
More and more
You cry for them when they get hurt
You want to take away the pain they feel
You don’t want to feel anything but happiness
But you know as a parent you can’t
They must go through the pain of growing up
So you watch and you hurt for them
Knowing that these things shall pass
And others will come
They must learn to take pain with the joy
You become very proud as you watch
They turn into adults
They become parents and as the watch
Their child go through the
Pain and joy of growing up
And wonder how you ever made it
Through the pain of watching you grow up!!
And you tell them because
