A Line __

by k i k i   Oct 13, 2006

A black line of water comes from her eye,
Tired and shattered, she's alone.
Mascara continues to travel south,
As the outburst of emotions continue to fall.
Weary and ill, she can't live without him,
He was her everything.

A red line of blood comes from her wrist,
Destroyed and overflowed, she's screaming.
Fluid continues to surge from within,
As the cute become bigger and bigger.
Unaware of the damage, she can't see,
What he's doing to her.

A grey line of thread comes from her bear,
Soaked in everything that's left her, she's empty.
Decomposed with the remains of him,
As the memories start to detangles.
No sympathy to him, the only thing left,
The bear, her only friend.

A white line of shadows arrive at her feet,
Disguised and shaken, she hates them.
Ghosts of the past, coming back in,
As she begins to put everything behind her.
Swimming in her bubble, she can't hear them,
The people who used to care.

A green line of hope attempts to appear,
Sense of new being and opportunity, she thinks.
Grass grows greener, just for the moment,
As she peaks over the back fence.
Broken and brittle, she takes notice,
This may be the new beginning asked of her.

A purple line of memories start to flashback,
Warmth of importance and family, she remembers.
Flowers bloom under her feet,
As she runs back through the happier times.
Immature and unknown to the world, she leaves them,
The parts of her those are no longer.

A blue line of images unfold,
Snaps of how this life used to be, she hated it.
Fake smiles growing more common,
As she runs faster to a better place.
Fresh and convincing to people, she carries on,
The lies can't be noticed, so why change?

A yellow line of sunshine beams,
New phase in her life, she's positive.
Image in the mirror, just the same,
As she walks, more confidence lights up her face.
Happy and cheery, the past is forgotten,
The real smiles are worth more then the fake ones.
