One Last Tear

by David Wallace   Oct 13, 2006

I give one last tear 2 our fallen soldiers,
Our men with honor equipped with armor,
Grenades in hands guns over shoulders,
Mail extended postage in blood 2 the family and a son left w/o his father.

One last warm embrace 2 the mothers in mourning,
Tears dripping heart beating fast,
Body jittery fast crawling,
who knew that send off kiss will be the last?

Our eyes are blinded memory rewinding back 2 the days of guns blasting and bullets winding,
Boots grinding the pavement war cries recited b4 annihilation,
The altruistic warrior fighting 4 a nation divided,
Oh lord oh lord please save our cluttered nation from condemnation!!!!!!

I give one last tear 2 our fallen men who fought w/o a cause,
Blinded by lies and deceit so we can rev up our automobiles,
One last tear your tears are mine and mines are your's,
One last tear 2 the young men who died early out on the battlefield with their life unfulfilled.

Beautifully penned dedictaion. We should all be more thankful that there are soldiers dying to protect our country along with the lives of many others that do not live in our country.
