One Month

I can't believe one month has past,
It seems to have gone by so fast.
Still feels like just yesterday I saw your face,
No one will ever take your place.

I will never forget the day,
I was told you past away.
I didn't believe it was true at first,
But when it sank in it felt like my heart burst.

I don't think I will ever understand why,
God took the life of the most amazing guy.
When I see your picture its hard not to cry,
I just wish I had the chance to say good-bye.

I wish you could be here,
So you could see how many people care.
I know you are watching down from heaven,
When I pray I know you always listen.

Whenever I close my eyes I see your smile,
I know that I will see you in a while.
But until that day,
Forever in my heart you will stay.
