The screeching brakes
the glaring light
the look on your face
I'll never forget that night

you didn't see the car
and when you did it was to late
i cant describe how much i miss you
you were my best mate

fastly the car approached
ill never forget the terror in your eyes
and the next day it was so hard to believe
when the headlines screamed teenage girl dies

it took so long to actually set in
that you were gone forever
you were like a sister to me
and i thought we would always be together

but life must go on
everyone would say
even though i knew they were right
I'd pray for you night and day

i saw every thing
on that tragic night
and i was stupid enough to think
everything would be alright

but i was so wrong
nothing will ever be the same
and i think of you everyday
as the wind whispers your name
