Forever

by Ryan Spurge   Oct 14, 2006

Forever reminded of that agony,
Caused by the fragments of laughter,
Jagged smiles - something I despise.
Torment born by those sweet lies.
Took him long enough to realize,
He's not the person he wanted to be.

Sitting alone, dreaming on the porch,
So tired, but she will always hold on,
Tightly gripping loves dying torch.
Too hurt, oh so little to bear upon.
Nothing left to feel long after pain.
Forever suffocated by hidden shame.

Forever he's in that isolated mind,
Sometimes failure isn't always regret.
Always confused about how to feel.
Never wanting this forced desire,
Can't seem to just accept the truth.
This missing loves to be redefined.
