Depression

2.2.05

You wake up each and every morning, and you’re feeling sad and blue
Your head spins, you’re so confused, and you don’t know what to do
You walk down along the street with your friend by your side
You want to tell them everything, but your feelings you still hide
You constantly play pretend, all day and all night
You say everything’s cool when it’s really not all right
You think that they can’t tell when you act the way you do
But they know what it’s like, they’ve all been there too
You say it isn’t right, you say it isn’t fare
But deep within your heart you know luck won’t follow you everywhere
You don’t want to talk to anyone, you want to be left alone
You ask why can’t they just ignore you, and go on back home
You don’t know what to think, and you don’t know what to say
You want it to get better, you don’t want it to be this way
You never seem to laugh, giggle, or even smile
It’s been so long since you were happy; It’s been such a long while
We’re all worried about you, we really are
We’ve tried our best to help, but you just seem so far
I hate to see you like this with your darkness and your fear
You should already know by now that there’s nothing to be afraid of here
We want to help you out so very bad
We want you to remember the happy, and forget all of the sad
We know it’s really hard, but we’ll always be here
For when you need us; we’ll wipe away the tears
So please my friend, listen to me
This just isn’t the way it really has to be
