A Compliment To You

by Emm   Oct 16, 2006

This night I try,
To utter a compliment,
To my dismay,
You are an ugly shade of gray,
Your hair gets on my nerves,
And you don't deserve.
Anything.
Gosh,
Nothing nice!
I've tried now twice,
To not be wretched.
But, I fear my dear,
You are a coward,
A cockroach, a bug,
Can't even get a hug,
From a mugger.
A sad shadow of empty,
A blessing from a no one.
No ones love sent from above.
Nothing.
Three times I've tried,
To think of something sweet,
I shiver at your presence,
Your head down to your feet.
A nasty essence of bleck,
What the heck!
Not so nice I know,
But you,
Just go,
I give up,
You horrid person.
I can't be nice.
I lied.
I've tried.
That's all I've got.
I've tried to give,
A Compliment to you.

This is a cool poem but you seem to lost the rhyme toward the end. It was cool though. 5/5
