Center

by Karen Simpson   Oct 16, 2006

I want to strive after you
With a passion and a hunger,
Never heard of before

I want you to be my life
My bread and water
The air I breathe

I want to be intoxicated
With your splendor
Overwhelmed by the mere mention
Of your name

Father, greater than all others
More powerful than the
Imagination of a man

Higher and sweeter
More merciful and gracious everyday
Be my Center

A superb and excellent expression of religious freedom. I believe this poem is true, because it was written from the heart and soul by someone who loves God. Yes, God is the center of everything in this world and beyond. Keep the faith and keep writing poetry
