In Your Sorrow

by Tine   Oct 16, 2006

I saw the sorrow in your hand
which leaded me to a different land
where silence weighs so heavily
where nothing worked out as you planned

This metal cage captured your faults
of which your mind every time assaults
you, but it wasn't your wrong
you bury everything your mind holds

The sun was descending and glowing gold
but I noticed the sadness which you hold
when you look at it leaving
and how that one tear brushed your cheek and rolled

The landscape was so dejected
it seemed to me that it reflected
how much you show the outside world
and by that I was very affected

Alas I couldn't save you
of devouring in what you thought was true
to let you go was unforgivable
but I couldn't get you caught

I gave you my unconditional love
but you didn't take it and above
all, you didn't grant me a glance
or a last dance

With you alone
before you snatched your hand
away again...
