An Evening stroll

by Vijay   Oct 17, 2006

An evening stroll
This is a breathtaking nightfall
A festival-offering event
A much-awaited minute it is
An absolute party, is your birthday, I believe
Even though it admits only once in a year

We will go for a stroll, on the shore, this evening
Not in the usual way, but a rare one
Your feet relaxing on mine; and you, set eyes on me
I will walk a yard, seeing you.
You ignore everyone at home for the moment
Let your presence thrill the ambiance here

We will dine in concert beside the crowd
And at the side of the shore
Will see you unwaveringly the entire day
And admire your character relentlessly
This may not prove my warmth to you
But, without doubt, it would make your day, a fine one
