The class ring

by labyrinth   Oct 17, 2006

Close by the doorway
they paused to stand
as he took his class-ring off her hand
all who were watching
didn't dare speak
as a silent tear ran down his cheek
through his mind memories ran
they laughed and played
and rolled in the sand
everyone crying
as he bent down near
and wispered ilove you
in her ear
and as the wend was beginning to blow, they lowered her casket in to the snow.
