Toy soldier

by Rattlehead   Oct 17, 2006

Blood running through your viens
like runaway trains
the fear of getting shot
thinking the bullets will never stop
taught to fight a war
realizing its so much more
looking around everyones dead
bodys pumped full of lead
this young soldier boy
nothing but a worthless toy
explosions and death covering the scene
your yell is nothing but a silent scream
just a toy soldier off to fight
not knowing if its wrong or right
on the battlefield all alone
God let this toy soldier come home

    Very good poem
The rhyming is a little simple at the begining but other than that its fine!
