You came into my life like the african dust.

by Jane Lowe   Oct 18, 2006

You came into my life like the African dust
sudden and to be noticed, and in you I learned to trust
every summer, it would be you me
and it was you i would wait to see.

And then one day everything went wrong
that day not even the king fisher sang his song
the year was 1999
that year you were no longer mine.

We moved so far, it was to far away
so far, good-bye, to you, I could not say
For six years I thought of you
I pondered upon if our friendship was so true.

And so one day, I could take no more
For now my heart was truly sore
I cried that night and called your name
I begged that you, missed me just the same.

I contacted our friends, I asked them for you
And then i know, you and me were truly true.
We talk almost once a week, and text even more
to my great pleasure, my heart hurts no more.

You came into my life like the African dust
sudden and to be noticed, and in you I learned to trust
Now I have you back, and you are all mine
I love you more and more, every time.
