The Homecoming Cinderella

by *~CaSsYa~*   Oct 18, 2006

Once upon a time
An innocent girl was separated from true love
Placed in a island much far from her home at heart
Leaving the happiness and the loved ones she cherished

She was a Cinderella to the new demanding life
The new school, the people and their character,
Culture shock, and the captious ways of life
But hardest of all, the distance and separation

The time has come the annual Homecoming Dance back home
The week of stressful midterms for the lone Cinderella
Missing, cut out from the magical night of wonder
The enchanting ball with that one wondrous prince

Unlike the Cinderella from Disney with the happy ending
The glass shoe, the miracle and fairy-god mother
The Homecoming Cinderella stayed home studying
Experiencing a sad ending of a real Cinderella
