My sister

by Cathy Thomas   Oct 18, 2006

My Sister

A struggle to give yourself
A better quality of life
You decide to take a chance
Under the surgeons knife
You would not give up
You Always fought and fought
While some did say to you
Do you think you ought
It just got to much for you
With every passing day
Wires and tubes going into you
My hands tightly together pray
As you lay there sleeping
Your angel came to say
My sweet child come with me
I will take your pain away
She took your hand and led you
To that very special place
Then for just that tiny moment
There was a smile upon your face
When mother came to greet you
With her arms waiting open wide
For now we know your so happy
And all our tears slowly subside.
