One and Only True Friend

by Fallen   Oct 18, 2006

Everyday when I saw you,
Always welcoming people with open arms,
Those people who were strangers,
Those people who once hurt you,
And who you always forgave,
Everyday when I saw you,
Always smiling,
A playful person, cheering people up,
And I don't know how you do it,
You're too much of a saint for me,
And I don't know how our friendship came to be,
But that smile melted the ice,
Around my once beating heart,
You healed every broken piece of me,
And after that we were never apart,
But one day when we hugged,
You didn't want to let me go,
That day I saw something I could of never imaged in someone like you,
I saw under your playful smile,
A face full of sorrow,
A person who was broken inside,
And a soul which was told all lies,
It sucks how people use those who care,
And then throw them aside,
And act like their not there,
Now when I think of how our friendship came to be,
Now I see, right from the start,
That you were the one who came too me,
It was you who needed, who wanted help,
Not me,
You taught me how to love and trust again,
And yet, I was your one and only true friend,
It just seemed natural for me,
To stick beside you,
Like you did for me,
