*sorry its kinda long and its not that much of a poem just the feeling of loosing someone close in this case my oldest brother*
today was your daughters first birthday without you,
did you see her cry,
did you her her call your name,
did you hear her say she loves you,
did you know she prayed for you to come back,
did you know shes hurting did you know she started preschool,
did you know your daughter loved you did you know
how much she admires her daddy did you hear
that she drew you a picture did you see it,
did you know shes forgotten how to smile
did you know she sang a song for you
did you know how this would affect her
did you know she waits for you to come home
and sing her to sleep and kiss her good night,
can you see her.
yesterday your son started the 3rd grade
did you know he learned to ride is bike,
did you know he holds back tears so you wont get upset
sometimes he cant help it,
do you hear him cry daddy at night and scream in his pillow,
do you hear him say i love you dad,
did you know every time someone pulls up the drive way he thinks its you and waits for you to come waltzing in,
did you know hes not scared of the dark anymore but still sleeps with the light on,
did you no how this was gonna affect him,
did you know he's forgotten how to laugh,
did you he blames himself,
did you no he misses you so bad.
your wife loved you did you know that
she has not stopped crying and every time she looks at
yours and her kids she breaks down and cries because
she can see apart of you in them,
did you know she sleeps on the couch sometimes and waits for you,
did you know she cant sleep at night without you by her side,
did you no she blames herself,
did you hear her cry your name,
did you hear he cry out i love you,
did you no she can never love again,
did you know during the night she checks up on
the kids to make sure their still there,
did you know she never wanted you to go away
she misses you she wonders why you did it
i know why but does she.
i know you loved them and they know it too
i pray for you Stephen and so do they they cry because they cant describe how much they miss you
i miss you Stephen and they do too we can only be with you in our dreams we will see you in heaven OK........................R.I.P. Stephen
