My Offering

by Mistress   Oct 21, 2006

We used to be so happy,
We used to be so free.
You could always see,
Just what was bothering me.

You used to love me for me,
Not for what you wished I'd be.
Now every day that goes by,
Goes by in a senseless haze.

Don't shed another tear,
Don't waste another breath.
Don't bother looking back,
I will no longer be there.

I'm sorry that I hurt you,
I'm sorry I pushed you away.
I'm sorry I made you cry,
I'm sorry I said goodbye.

I can only say I'm sorry
Just so many times,
Before all of my words,
Fall into silent air.

With this, My final farewell,
I will get this off my mind.
I'm sorry I broke your heart,
Here.... I offer you mine.
