The Price Of Perfection

by Kill The Complex   Oct 23, 2006

Once upon a time there was a girl who liked a boy
her heart told her he liked her to
his lips would say he hated her
his eyes screamed he loved her
the girl gathered up her courage
and asked the boy to be her boyfriend

his reply: i'm sorry, your just not pretty enough
i'm sorry, your just not good enough

now with the razor against my skin
Am I pretty enough for you now?
with my heart out in my hands
am i good enought for you now?

stepping into the bathroom, black trails down my face
starring into the mirror, i know what i must do
as the water is running, as the blood is dripping
my thoughts start screaming

with the razor against my skin
am i pretty enough for you now
with my heart out in my hands
am i good enough for you now

mom comes upstairs sensing that there is something wrong
water in the hallway tears are in her eyes
she opens up the door, seeing her daughter in red water
she looks at the mirror and on it there's a message
the message reads

with the razor against my skin
am i pretty enough for you now
wiht my heart out in my hands
am i good enough for you now

i hope i'm good enough now
