My raindrops

by Sarahs death angel   Oct 23, 2006

Raindrops fall softly
Like kisses pressed against my head
The night is falling slowly
As the sun sinks behind my frozen world

I'm blinded my soft falling tears
But still stare into the distance
And wait for my prince charming
On his shiny white steed

Why am I forsaken in this lonely world?
Am I the only one that cries?
Do you still hear my sobs?
More importantly do you still care?

Just take my hand and tell me I'll be ok
Look me in the eye and wipe away my tears
But I know you won't coz you don't care
Because as you've said before I'm just not worth it.

Very nice. I think, personally, that you could stand to improve the flow of the poem. The cadence is a little off and takes away from the read. Other than that it is great, the concept and wording is nice, its just the form that threw me off a little. I did particularly like these lines,

"I'm blinded my soft falling tears
But still stare into the distance
And wait for my prince charming
    On his shiny white steed"

A powerful piece, may many more flow from your pen, and your talent never fade. Best wishes, and blessed be. *5/5
