Education goes underway,
Socializing never jeopardized,
Status and attitude, all important,
The labels and criticism that we receive.
Make-up streaked faces make fun,
Laughing over unimportant jokes,
Occasional bullying always present,
Teenage dramas everyday.
Friends stand against one another,
Sometimes seeming over-affectionate,
Teachers lay down rules.. to the best of their ability,
Learn if you can, try if you can't,
Your attention will be tested as will your mind,
All those facts and numbers to remember,
Smart-Alec comments wear patience down.
We hate it now, or so we think,
Another year gone.. thank god,
Boredom induced creativity.
