Life's the stage

by changed lady   Oct 24, 2006

You must be the change you wish to see in the world,
Remove your mask and let the truth unfold,
Draw back the curtain you hide behind,
See this chance, don't be blind.

The curtains gone,your left alone,
Don't even think of running home,
I watch the way you stare into space,
Not a single sign of emotion on your face.

Grab your chances with both hands,
Just face your fears and be a man,
Lifes not a game with a plan or a map,
Go with your instincts and don't look back.

Lifes too short to waste time on regret,
If it goes wrong just try and forget,
At least that way you'll know you tried,
It'll counteract the times you've cried.

I know you feel my eyes on you,
Watching every thing you do,
Revise your lines and get it right,
Nows not the time to get stage fright.

Blinding lights are shining down,
Forget the crowd, try not to frown,
Close your eyes and take it slow,
Consider your words and let them flow.
