The memories went with you

I have tried to make this perfect,
Release the pain thats in my heart,
To show the feelings could never cease,
Nor will the love depart.

A way to say im sorry,
For the time we never had,
I wish Id spent more time with you,
Because its time we cant get back.

Will never see your smiling face,
Or get to hear your laugh,
All I have are memories,
Of a life thats in the past.

Smiles on our faces,
Sparklers in each hand,
Ill never forget the excitement,
When the fireworks began.

A trip we took to Ireland,
Now seems a childish dream,
For we were only little then.
And you fell in the stream.

I try desperately to remember,
The games we use to play,
Our parents in the kitchen,
Theyd let us stay all day.

The walking round the woods,
Us running through the grass,
Every single plant we trampled,
To this day makes me laugh.

Silly games of chase,
Our climbing in the trees,
We were oh so happy then,
I was a different, better me.

Our memories you took with you,
I find them harder to see,
Although your gone, your never alone,
You took a part of me.
