Divine You

by Kalgalath   Oct 24, 2006

When I think about you, and your beauty,
I think of angels
How their beauty surpasses that of any mortal
And is in no comparison to any other

Their beauty is unique
So unique that common words cannot express their incomparable beauty
As you are the same
I cannot even begin to fathom how beauteous you are

When I look into your eyes, they stop my heart from beating
They're like the sky; I could stare into them forever
Your delicate lips, I desire to caress them
I want them to be the last thing I ever touch

I long to wrap my arms around you, and call you my own
Hold you to keep you warm
My arms would be like fortified walls, sound and unwavering against all things
Nothing could ever hurt you when you're behind them

With you, I deem I could learn to love again
You could mend my broken heart,
Which has been broken for so very long
That would be a fantasy come true

I've been stuck in this fantasy for far to long
I yearn to escape what I consider it to be: a prison
Where I wander down lonely paths
A prison where no one loves me or wonders about me
No one wants to be with me
I'm all alone in it
All alone with only my thoughts about you,
And my feelings for you
My feelings;

So incredibly deep that I don't think anybody could ever uncharnel them
But you could do something extraordinary
You could find my feelings, unearth them, and treasure them, and adore me for who I am
As I have treasured you for what seems now like an eternity

I know I've got close to you but I'm sure it's too far
I don't know what to think about it anymore
I know that you won't abdicate him for just Lilliputian me
That would truly be a dream come true,
For me to have you

So I will exist in my fantasy that I consider a prison
Walking the lonely, dark pathways,
Always thinking about you, always wanting you
And your beauty
