I'm looking down upon this place
That I created with my own hands

And made no difficult demands

I made everyone different

I picked your personality
I picked your physique

I gave you a home
I surrounded you with friends
I put you on your path's beginning
But I didn't pick where it ends

I didn't choose who you had to be
Though I tried to show a sign
Whether you chose my path or Satan's
That was your choice, not mine

I gave you a special gift
I gave you a chance
Whether it was to be strong or brave
Whether it was to sing or dance

I promised you a life
A father and a hope
I promised you a home
And a friend to help you cope

I didn't say it would be easy
Though I am always by your side
Whether or not you accept my love
