Metropolis

by Bernard   Oct 24, 2006

Descending from the sky
I am greeting by our fragile atmosphere
Smog, what a hog
Clogging up my pores
I start to make out things,
pretty things they say
A metropolis infested with cars
and smoke wielding factories
scattered about like smoldering cigarettes in an ashtray
How could i be addicted to such a world?
Anyway, I need more oil for my car and a surplus of energy for my appliances.
In fact I want so much energy that I can feel it serge throughout the veins of my home.
My recycling bin comforts me
It looks good in the corner of my room
I am concerned about global warming, though I don't know of its effects
And I do read Time Magazine, though I just look at the pictures... not the big picture
