Thoughts Of A Self-Harmer.

by Broken Suicide   Oct 25, 2006

Talking of self harmer's,
The question soon appeared.
Would you treat them different,
If you saw wounds you feared?

You all answered yes,
I wouldn't treat them the same.
Well do you not think pretence,
could cause them more pain?

Pretence because you failed,
Or pretence because you cared.
In seeing someone you love,
Feeling so frail and scared?

Well what about me here,
You don't see my scars.
And i don't want you to change.
The way that we all are.

I don't want difference,
Or for guarded talks.
Just for you to be true,
And continue life's walk.

So don't wrap us in cotton wool,
Our time is not yet due.
Just be yourselves for us,
And we'll try to make it through.

So do not worry my friends,
If you see my fatal marks.
If i am still sitting here,
I have survived the dark.

And do not worry for me,
And my life behind closed doors.
Just accept me for who i am,
And let me fight my wars.
