A fathers loss

by Ericka   Oct 25, 2006

The memories I have of you
Are so deep inside
I look at your baby girl
And I ask how you can deny

A miracle was made
So precious and true
The baby was conceived
A treasured gift from you.

I see you every day
When I look in her eyes
A daddyâ??s girl she could have been
Now she is denied.

A daddy should want her
She is cute you see
A precious miracle
And she come from you & me.

Some day I will have to tell her
And see her tears
And explain to her she was wanted
And ask God to steal her fears.

A precious baby
Sent to you & me
A blue eyed sweet heart
Canâ??t you even see?

You will one day
See how wrong you were
For this little baby
Grew up with and with out her father.

In a few years
It will be too late
For all the days you missed
You will hesitate

As regret takes over
No memories to hold
A daddyâ??s little girl
Will be too old.

Too late to see your baby
Ten little fingers
Ten little toes
A mouth of princess
With a cute button nose
Eyes of a sweetie
With golden blond hair
And a heart of an angel for a mother to share.
