Haley this is the life I imagined for you
A life of love
I guess a fantasy too

I hurt now so bad inside

Your eyes were blue

It looked like gold

I can imagine your first step
I picture it so clear
I hear your first words
And it brings me to tears

I see you running to me all grown
I see a man you will marry
And be on your own

I look down now and see it's a dream
I see a cold head stone
That says it's Haley's memory

On your head stone I did write
Daddy girl
Mommy's heart
The lords Angel
Right from the start

Them words are deep in my heart
I wear them like thorns
Every baby I pass
They stick in even more

There is no love like for that for a baby
No pain like you could feel
And when you leave the hospital alone, it's so surreal

Out of all of my confusion
One thing is clear
Mommy loves Haley
And I wish Haley was here
