Rain

by Caroline Elise   Oct 25, 2006

I write this as I stare out the window. Its raining. Iâ??m tempted to just run outside and dance in it, but I cant, my shirt is white, and Im in the school library. To me rain is the most romantic thing on Earth. In the movies, he is always standing outside in the pouring rain with a rose, singing a love song and throwing pebbles at her window, she always runs out and jumps into his arms and they kiss and dance in the downpour. Rain erases away all the mistakes you have made, and leaves a clean slate, a fresh start. Rain purifies, rain cleans, rain forgives. It rained today and, thank God, I had an umbrella, my boyfriend, however, was not as lucky. I let him share it with me and, somehow, we both got wet, but we didnt care. When we got on the bus we both laughed and he shook his hair like a dog, splashing me with water. I dont see why people think rain is sad and depressing, I love it. So, when it rains, is God really crying or are they tears of joy?
