Perhaps Love

by lawrence   Mar 18, 2004

Perhaps love
is like a shadow
a silhouette that tails
Waltzing partner
dancing to the light
Unseen anchor
in the darkest of night

Perhaps love
is like a child
a boundless mercurial soul
Tender little fingers
holding tight without end
Unfinished kisses
stolen away by the sweetened hand

Perhaps love
is like a cloud
a gathering of rain soon to fall
Cotton candy
of wondrous dreams be made
Roll of thunder
awash where my heart’s laid

Perhaps love
is really just this
a season of our heart
Summer… Spring…
Winter and Fall…
One we know
yet… not at all…

Love is pretty hard to get to know, hey Lar?? Pretty complicated one, that beast! I love the anchor line..in the darkest of night...well..the Beatles said it best..All You Need Is Love..and without it ..in some way shape or form, we're all screwed!!! :) I love this poem...brilliant, once again!
