I know how you feel. My dad hasn't talked to me in a few years, and I hate to admit that it does hurt. It makes me feel like I did something wrong to make him not like me or something. So I do what I do best I say I hate him and move on with my life. Bad thing to do but it gets me through my feelings of missing him.

This makes me think of the relationship that i have with my father. i have threatened to cut him out of my life and he pretty much said that he didn't care. i love the way you've written this though.
