Splitting parents

by helen francis   Oct 27, 2006

Mums and dads
splitting up
making children cry
because they don't want to say bye

late nights heavy rights
screaming yelling banging
scared to sleep
if something goes wrong
in this upsetting song

doors bang
phones ring
parents yell and scream
children cry and hold it in
thinking there all to blame

effected by the way
there parents cover up
trying to say that nothings going wrong.

the children hide in corners
not stepping the borders
hiding these questions of whats going on

effected in different ways
they loose there voices
they loose there trust
they loose there feeling of safety

no where to turn
no where to run
no one to look up-to
they feel like darkness is tacking over

never to be happy again because of all this pain.

screaming again because no one can cope
yelling and screaming
hitting and banging
making people ill

trapped in a world that doesn't care
until one day
a light at the end of the tunnel has been found
with a happy bound

round and round the clocks turn never to happen again
