To Fill the Silence

by Stacey   Oct 28, 2006

The darkness abhors the sadness
she brings,
her tears: unheard, so quietly
she sings
to fill the silence, that
he has caused.

The air hangs as empty as
her heart.
She laughs as she realises
her part,
to fill the silence, that
she has caused.

And now the darkness
closes in,
to forever take her
every whim.
It fills the silence, that
he has caused.
