My Perfect Christmas

by Bradley Peter   Oct 29, 2006

Snowflakes falling softly
There's twinkles in the air
And everyone's quite happy
Which is usually rather rare

Kids are having snow fights
Shoppers are going mad
But it's all in the name of Christmas
So I guess it's not that bad

Decorations in the house
With lights upon the tree
And presents underneath
Oh, what a Christmas this will be

People sing happy songs
And huddle in the cold
Waiting to hear the sleigh bells
And let the magic unfold

The kids will wait for Santa
Leaving cookies and hot choc
While Santa's getting tired
From racing against the clock

The good old Christmas dinner
With too much food to eat
But the family's all together
Which is the real Christmas treat

Snowmen with happy faces
And happiness all around
There isn't a place on earth
Where happiness can't be found

But if only mum and dad
Were here to share it too
Then Christmas would be complete
And I'd be happy just like you

I really like this poem cos if you ignore the last stanza its a beautiful christmas poem and it gets me all christmassy and lyk I can't wait for it to be here. However I do like the fact that it makes you feel like that because it makes the twist more of a shock because it's so unexpected. Maybe you could write a happy christmas poem too cos I think you'd be good at that!!!!!
Neway, I rly lyk dis 1 cos it rly captures the Christmas spirit (although I hate that expression it fits here!)
