Demise

by Christie   Oct 30, 2006

Minutes leaving, tears falling,
Hopes abandoned, is it any surprise?
Heart hurting, limbs longing,
Body aching, heading to demise.

Ominous signs leave no room to doubt,
Silence impending, crushing her down,
Till heart nor head can be persuaded,
Lying in wait, beliefs are jaded.

Not now, not then did I want this,
Security found in your kiss,
False hope, surprise! How did you know??
Because I always stoop so low,

To push love away, now only me,
My selfishness I didn't see,
Nor you pushed away by my only traits,
Cursing myself, gone are those days.

I love you now and always I know,
Its you that I now have to show,
I've said it before, I swear it's true,
I've never loved another as I love you.

Minutes leaving, tears falling,
Hopes abandoned, is it any surprise?
Heart hurting, limbs longing,
Body aching, heading to demise.
