Nothing Will Be The Same Again

She wishes she could have had the time to say goodbye.
But instead here she stands looking at his body.
She whispers silently to herself as she closes her eyes.
She hopes that when she opens them that everything will be alright.
But deep inside her heart she secretly knows that everything in her life will never be the same again.
She opens her eyes and falls to the ground with her hands suppressed against her face.
Crying her eyes out looking at his once pretty face.
She chokes on her tears to try not to show how much she was in love with him.
She gets up and says a prayer that went something like this:

Dear god,
Please take care of him.
If only i could have one last kiss,
One that could take my breath away.
Then maybe i could live in sweet reminess.
The way you looked at me when you smiled your eyes would light up revealing green.
Your humor was really quick and keen.
If only i could see your face one again,
So full of emotions,
Full of happiness, full of joy.
Then maybe i could smile in this killer life of mine.
But you have passed away,
And its time for me to move on.
So good luck in your new life and goodbye.

She sticks her hands in her jacket pocket and walks away looking down at the floor.
Some people have said that she has picked up the pieces and moved on,
But i think there is much more to that story.
I think she still looks back at the one she loved, and the one she lost.
She may have moved on,
But i don't think she could ever forget the pain in her heart.
The one pain that still remains and reminds her of the day she lost her boyfriend, her best friend.
This is the story of a girls broken heart,
And a story of how everything in her life will never be the same again.
