Crash

by Jess   Nov 1, 2006

This is a chord poem in which you show three points of view on one subject. My three points of view is a sister, parent and cop. This is about a car crash.

Sister

My brother and I
Were out one night
When a drunk driver
Ran a red light

I remember the crash
Blood all around
I remember the headlights
The screechy sound

I woke up in the hospital
My parents crying
Because in the other room
My brother was slowly dying

My parents told me
About the crash
How the car was tore up
And the engine in the dash

They told me the car
Hit us head on
Then the doctor came in
Said my brother was gone

Parents

My son was taken
That awful night
When a drunk driver
Ran a red light

I got a call
My heart stopped
When I heard
The voice of a cop

He told me
My kids were in a crash
That they were hit head on
And the engine was in the dash

I started racing
To the hospital I flew
I had to get there
To find out the news

How bad my kids were hurting
I started to pray
“Dear God, please
Don’t take my kids away.”

Cop

When the call ranged
I sped to the scene
Where two teenagers
Were in a mangled machine

The windows were broke
Blood and hair all around
The teenagers were appalled
They never made a sound

I tried to pull them out
But they started to cry
They started to scream
That they wanted to die

The other driver
Was not hurt at all
But the alcohol on his breath
Sealed the fate of this call
